The Pioneer Village, which is a part of the Cashmere Museum in Cashmere, Washington, consists of twenty cabins whose furnishing illustrate pioneer life. Shown below are three family cabins.
Richardson Cabin
This cabin was originally built in 1888 in Monitor by Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas Richardson. Fir logs were skidded to the home site, hewn square with a broad axe, and the corners dovetailed to fit together.
Horan Cabin
This cabin was built in 1872.
Weythman Cabin
This cabin represents another style of building typical of the early Euroamerican settlers in the area. It is a “board and batten” frame structure built with rough sawn lumber.
